New Year's Resolution Solution
Lakewood Yacht Club is offering a solution for the only resolution you'll need this year -- more "you time." At a time of year when everything you want can turn into a daunting to-do list, Lakewood's putting an end to the standoff between you and your mounting resolve. This year, Lakewood's putting you first in your plans for the coming year.

The club is best known as an oasis to escape from the daily grind. Why scatter your resolve in a million directions? Focusing on more R&R this year not only affords you more quality time, but increases your energy level and boosts your social connectivity. Club members enjoy exclusive access to an impressive array of social engagements year-round. For boating enthusiasts, the opportunities are endless.

With an events calendar that's second to none, club members are anticipating the highest level of casual finery and dining extravagance they've come to enjoy. Lakewood's attention to detail and exceptional service have reinvented the standard for quality personal time that members understand and look forward to. Robert is a long-time member who knows the value of his time at the club. "I have a great time at Lakewood. Wonderful new and old friends. It has that old-time charm and the best buffet on the planet!"

January alone is bursting at the seams with myriad occasions to catch up on quality you time. Kicking off the year at full-throttle, the club diligently works at filling your social calendar so you don't have to. From a classic New Year's Eve celebration to marking The King's birthday with an Elvis impersonator, members of the club dine and dance in exclusive style.

Even the youth sailors know how to enjoy themselves at the club. Gearing up for their annual Seahorse Ball, sailors and racers alike will enjoy dinner and a DJ as they celebrate another successful year on the water. From national and international regattas to major continental championships, Lakewood's youth racers have earned some quality recreational time.

For those who like to sneak off with a good book, the Novel Book Review Club will host a lively discussion of Susan Casey's "Voices in the Ocean." Heralded as one of the most enlightened narratives of its time, Casey's story highlights the kinship that humans have experienced with dolphins throughout the world. The evening will feature high-end cocktails and a specially-themed dinner around topics in the book.

At the end of the month, club members will come together to celebrate another year of new beginnings as they usher in the incoming commodore, Don Mitchell, at the Commodore's Ball. One of the most festive galas all year, members get to unwind and enjoy putting themselves and the good things in life at the forefront. Top-notch soirees are another way that Lakewood is committed to strengthening your resolve to make 2016 your best year ever.
