Yacht Enthusiasts Make Ready for Grand Banks Redezvous

Lakewood Yacht Club will host the Gulf Coast Grand Banks Yacht Owners Association for the 3rd Annual Grand Banks Rendezvous. Grand Banks enthusiasts from throughout the Gulf Coast will come together to celebrate the iconic Grand Banks lifestyle and share their passion for Grand Banks yachting. The event draws a variety of new and refurbished boats, as well as aficionados of all ages and walks of life.

The variety of Grand Banks models parading through the harbor is a spectacle that locals look forward to every year. From vintage Chantymans to newer Aleutians and Eastbays, boat owners take pride in showing off the classic style of the Grand Banks yacht.

Continuing the legacy of the Grand Banks and Palm Beach traditions, newer Grand Banks models embody the epitome of classic yachting traditions. No other vessel has been reimagined for the modern yacht enthusiast like the Grand Banks. Capturing a timeless foundation, today's craftsmen deliver an exciting diversity of models to suit even the most discriminating yacht owner.

The club anticipates a sizeable turnout of Grand Banks owners from along the Gulf Coast. Boating buffs and travelers from the Chesapeake to the Gulf Coast convene to regale their travels, reacquaint with old friends, and connect with new boat owners.

Enjoying an impressive lecture lineup, yacht owners will learn about topics related to vessel speed and performance from local sources and experts from around the country. The 2016 lecture series will also showcase adventure highlights from world-class destinations. Presenters will be on hand for questions and onsite yacht tours.

The Grand Banks Redezvous will be held from Friday, April 29 to Sunday, May 1, 2016. All Grand Banks owners, future owners, and yachting enthusiasts are welcome to attend. To register for the event, contact Alan Hill at waterhill@earthlink.net.
