The Harvest Moon Regatta® has been hosted by Lakewood Yacht Club every year since 1987. The offshore race begins in Galveston and ends with a party in Port Aransas. Whether you are new to offshore sailing, or are a seasoned cruiser or a serious racer, Harvest Moon has something for you.
Regatta proceeds benefit Bay Access Sailing Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that promotes youth and adult amateur sailing on Galveston Bay and Clear Lake through:
- On the water sailing instruction and training
- Organization and promotion of regattas
- Boating classes and on the water sailing instruction
- Boat Rentals
- Environmental awareness and education
- Scholarships for youth sailing camps
