Learn to Sail Spring 2025

Discover Independence, Confidence, and Responsibility Through Sailing

Sailing teaches kids more than just navigating a boat—it builds independence, confidence, and accountability. Imagine the pride of mastering the wind and water alone, realizing that every decision on the boat has a consequence, and learning to take ownership of the results. These life skills naturally translate to improved performance at school and beyond.

At Lakewood Yacht Club, children gain essential organizational skills by rigging their own boats and ensuring they’re prepared for the water. They learn teamwork by helping peers launch, and discipline by caring for their vessel. The ever-changing wind and sea instill a love for nature and adaptability in any situation.

Our Learn to Sail program is the first step in Lakewood Yacht Club’s renowned sailing pathway, offering young sailors the opportunity to grow from beginners to elite athletes. As part of the best high-performance pathway in the region, we prepare sailors to compete at national and international levels, guiding them every step of the way.

Join us on the beautiful, safe waters of Lakewood Yacht Club and set sail toward a future filled with adventure, growth, and success!
