Do I have to be a Member to host a corporate or social event at the Club?

No. However, non-member fees will apply. With a member sponsor, the fee is reduced by 50%.

  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday Evenings - $250 non-member fee
  • Saturday Evenings (after 5 p.m.) $500 non-member fee

Are there food and beverage minimums?

Yes, food and beverage minimums apply for evenings and weekends. The minimums are based on time of day. The minimum expenditure does not include the 20% service charge, 8.25% sales tax, and any other non-food charges.

  • Friday, Saturday and Sunday Evenings - $4,000 food minimum (Ballroom)
  • Saturday evenings after 4 p.m. - $5,000 minimum (Ballroom)

Can I bring in my own food?

Lakewood Yacht Club must provide all food and beverage. Exceptions are made for wedding cakes. The Club is pleased to furnish you with several suggested menus. We welcome the opportunity to custom design a menu especially for you. The Executive Chef has also created menus around cultural heritage and religion. Please see your catering director for more details.

Am I allowed to bring in outside vendors?

Yes! You are welcome to bring in a vendor of your choosing. We would be happy to assist you in finding the perfect florist, baker, photographer, videographer, entertainment (and more!) to compliment your event.

Are there labor charges?

Our wedding packages include fees where applicable. Additional labor charges you may incur are $150 per bartender, $150 per cashier, $150 per chef attendant, $150 per traffic attendant. The dance floor rental is $150 for the evening.

How do I reserve my date?

The Club requires a $1,000 deposit to secure the date of the function and rooms. If your deposit is not received by the due date, your reserved date will be released.

Guarantee on all Food and Beverage

A guaranteed number of guests are required by 12:00 noon, 7 working days prior to event date. This guarantee represents your billing minimum and will not be subject to reduction.

How is bar/alcohol handled?

The Club, per TABC law, must provide all alcohol. You are welcome to choose any alcohol package to suit your needs. Our private event professional will be happy to assist you in your selection.
